Making Nandroid Backup
Before making an Nandroid Backup, make sure that you have remove all the lock screen in your smartphone as if you won’t this you will not be able to open your smartphone after restoring the backup and you will have to do factory reset.

What is Nandroid Backup?
A Nandroid Backup is a very crucial thing to have before installing any custom software in your smartphone. It’s basically a backup of your stock system that you can go back on if anything goes wrong or if you just want your stock ROM back.
You can also use Nandroid Backup to make a backup of your favorite ROM set up exactly the way you like it. The backup you create can be easily restored using the TWRP recovery.
To Create Nandroid Backup:
- Boot into TWRP Recovery .
- Go to Backup Menu and select all the listed partitions.
- Name your Backup if needed (Optional)
- Swipe to take Backup.
- This process should take 5 to 8 minutes depending upon the size of data.
- Restart System when done.
Your Nandroid will be safe in the Backup Folder inside TWRP Folder /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS.
Restoring Nandroid Backup
- Boot into TWRP Recovery
- Go to Restore Menu and select the backup you want to restore.
- Select the partitions you want to restore.
- Swipe to Restore. The process will take 6 to 10 minutes.
- Reboot system once done
Restart the smartphone and (if you’ve set a Password) enter it to decrypt the storage one more time. After that you can simply open your smartphone with a swipe.
